Strategy: Investment Criteria
Arsenal Capital Partners targets equity investments of $25 million to $75 million in each portfolio company. The firm can provide significantly more equity capital for each investment from its institutional investor base as well as from strategic co-investors with whom we have well-established relationships. The firm typically seeks investment in companies with enterprise values between $50 million to $250 million.
Arsenal has previously invested in different types of transactions, many of which have had a substantial amount of complexity, including:
- Buyouts
- Recapitalizations
Acquisitions or investments have included:
- Entrepreneurially owned
- Corporate spinouts
- Management buyouts
Preferred company characteristics include:
- Leading player in niche markets
- Competitive advantages created by differentiated product or service
- Moderate levels of technology in core products or service
- Strong management team
- Opportunities to improve growth and enhance productivity
- Positive cash flow
